No. 1. Happy Father’s Day!
Today is the day all about Dad and we loved treating Syd to a family breakfast led by our very own Chefs Ivy and Wren. It was a mellow, family-focused day of celebrating and it was perfect. Syd, we cherish you and hope your day has been all you hoped! We may even let you sneak in a nap if you’re lucky. Happy Father’s Day to our own dads, too!

No. 2. Studio McGee’s Anniversary
Another year has come and gone, and we celebrated the eighth anniversary of Studio McGee this week! I can’t even believe all the growth and opportunities we have had in just eight years. It somehow feels like a lifetime ago since I started this business in our first home and yet, at the same time, it has all also completely flown by!? Loved celebrating this anniversary with our team at the offices (and of course, that revolved around food, lol).

No. 3. The Studio McGee Office Tour
Speaking of Studio McGee and our offices… the tour and webisode turned out so great and I loved getting to share more details on that space, so be sure to check it out! We still laugh when we think about the fact that Killowen had to remove an entire window of our top floor offices during remodel to get all the remodel debris out and new furniture in…
No. 4. Juneteenth
The celebrations just keep coming and today is Juneteenth, which marks the effective end of slavery in the US. I wanted to honor the holiday by calling attention to some amazing Black-owned and -founded businesses.
- Okator – a genius idea for protecting your clothes and your makeup!
- Aaks – these woven bags were just made for summer.
- Oma the Label – I love these chunky, statement necklaces.
- Mateo New York – a shop full of the most beautiful jewelry and collections.
- Lemlem – the most cheerful pieces for a perfect summer wardrobe!
- Estelle Colored Glass – this handblown glass is gorgeous and I dream of a collection of the glasses!
- Clare – fantastic paint in an abundance of beautiful colors and finishes.
- Bolé Road Textiles – these textiles bring rich texture and detail to any space.
- Madame de la Maison – this shop makes me feel like l am antique shopping from the comfort of home.
No. 5. Mascara Hack
I’m typically a drugstore mascara loyalist, but lately, I have been pairing this mascara primer with this volumizing mascara and have been loving the results! You only need two swipes of the mascara to get gorgeous fullness. Added bonus – the packaging design just makes me feel more glam, haha.
No. 6. Emmys
Dream Home Makeover was nominated for an Emmy! Syd and I were lucky enough to attend the awards ceremony in person this weekend and it was So. Much. Fun. As always, so proud of the team who even made this all possible – such an honor!

No. 7. An Upcoming Collection
Our next collection with Target will be released next weekend! As always, there are so many treasures in this collection. Can’t wait for you to see it all!
Happy weekend!
XO – Shea
