The home will offer visitors a glimpse into four new or newly remodeled homes in neighborhoods near downtown Gilroy. The program is designed to fund grants given by the Gilroy Assistance League to promote the well-being of youth in South Santa Clara County. Since 1993, the League has distributed more than $341,000 in grants to local programs, according to its website.

In 2022, grants recipients include One Heart to Another, Sportsman Chef, Rebekah Children’s Services, Parents Helping Parents, Gilroy High School Culinary Arts, St. Mary School, City of Gilroy/South County Youth Task Force, and the City of Gilroy Recreation/Gilroy Youth Center.

Tours begin at the first home at 849 Second Street from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Ticket holders will receive a program with descriptions of the homes and maps of their location. At the end of the tour, ticket holders are invited to visit the outdoor Boutique, which features local artisans and refreshments.

“After a two-year hiatus, we felt it was the right time to bring it back,” GALs President Therese Martin said in a statement. “Not only is it a treasured Mother’s Day tradition for so many, but it is also our biggest fundraiser. We are so grateful to our friends in Gilroy and the surrounding areas that always show up and support our organization and this event. Without them, we couldn’t do what we do!”

Tickets cost $35 in advance and $40 at the door. See here to buy tickets and learn more.
